Always there. Always caring.

Priddy Manor - Special Care

Priddy Manor provides the only secured Alzheimers/Dementia specialized care unit available in Stokes County.

Caring for a loved one with Alzheimers or Dementia can often be a challenge. They require a calm, safe environment and prefer familiar surroundings. Our experienced staff are sensitive to these specific needs. We offer an Activity Program specifically designed by a Licensed Recreational Therapist and an Activity schedule is posted to encourage familial involvement in day to day activities.

We provide personal care in a dignified manner with a minimum one-to-eight staff-to-Resident, ratio at all times. A Registered Nurse monitors medical care and our Medical Director (doctor) makes house calls.

Each room is semi-private with a full bath. The unit contains a large Activity area with a big screen TV. All meals are served in the large Dining area, restaurant-style, directly from the kitchen. Residents have their own gated outdoor activities area with a walking path and flower beds providing beautiful surroundings for them and their families.

North Carolina Project Lifesaver

We have enlisted the services of North Carolina Project Lifesaver offering a two-tiered system of protection for Residents.

NC Project Lifesaver provides individual Residents with security bracelets that contain Care Trak Frequency replacing GPS as the new standard.

Our staff has been trained by the professionals of NC Project Lifesaver and Priddy Manor keeps location equipment on site for rapid response in the event of an emergency. NC Project Lifesaver staff members are on call 24 hours a day and available to assist our staff and Residents when needed. Priddy Manor has committed to complying with all procedures as set forth by NC Project Lifesaver which include frequent Resident observations, daily battery checks and securing a Resident profile for use in the event of an emergency.

All Residents admitted to Priddy Manor will have their personal scent recorded and kept in the freezer for use as needed. There is an additional monthly charge for those who require or desire the use of a bracelet. The Priddy Manor staff will be glad to discuss our program with you and explain all aspects in detail.
